Weld Re-3(J) School District encompasses roughly 480 square miles in south east Weld County. Keenesburg, where the Administration Office is located, is 39 miles north east of Denver on I-76. The district is predominately rural and includes the towns of Lochbuie, Hudson, Keenesburg, and Roggen, all of which are on I-76 and Prospect Valley which is on Hwy 52 east of Hudson. Land usage is primarily agricultural, with local businesses and some industry in the area. Many people commute to Greeley, Denver and other front range areas for employment.
