Community Meetings Highlight
School Designs

Two community meetings were held in March where the school design process was described and the exterior and interior images for the renovated Hudson elementary and the new elementary school in Lochbuie were shown.

For both projects, the schematic designs have been completed and the architects are working on Design Development (DD). The following phase will be Construction Documentation (CD) which is completed before actual construction begins.
Middle School Renovations Take Shape

A Design Advisory Group completed their work on the renovations at WCMS. The primary educational components to be renovated include science labs, an art classroom, and a STEM lab. The school will also see a renovated cafeteria and kitchen along with a redesigned front office in order to create a secure entrance for school visitors. The architect firm is working through Design Development on this work, and a timeline for construction has not yet been determined. The image shows the areas of the school with the most concentrated renovation.
CCA Update
The Design Advisory Group at CCA continues to work with DAO Architecture and Fransen-Pittman to design an addition to the main modular building. New construction includes approximately 5,000 sq. ft. to include a new secure entry, library and professional development space, dedicated restrooms for primary students, and a STEM lab. New space, with the restructuring of current space, allows for the separation of art and music classes, dedicated middle school math classrooms, and space to expand intervention. Although new construction is not expected to begin until August, plans to replace old flooring in classrooms, update lighting, provide storage solutions in classrooms and make necessary repairs to both buildings will begin immediately following the last day of school at the end of May.
