Lochbuie Intermediate Grades Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies Adoption

Digital materials from the most recent version of the EL Education Language Arts, OpenSciEd, and Investigating History Social Studies curriculum were recently reviewed as part of a grant awarded to Lochbuie Elementary, which will become Lochbuie Intermediate Academy beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.  The grant provides curriculum, coaching, and implementation support through Gradient, a unified learning platform. EL Education, OpenSciEd, and Investigating History would serve as the core education curriculum. The content within each of the programs is aligned with Colorado State Standards, and EL Education and OpenSciEd meet alignment and usability requirements in foundation skills and knowledge building, according to EdReports. Investigating History is an open-source curriculum for grades three through seven published by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in Massachusetts.
